The 13th chapter of the Book of Revelation has long been one of immense intrigue to many. It is the one chapter in this “prophetic” book that seems to focus specifically on an earthly administration, or kingdom, that would encompass the entire planet of nations. It especially zeroes in on three individuals described in ancient terms due to their uniqueness to known history at the time of their “revelation” …

• “The Beast” coming forth from a beast “coming up out of the sea having 10 horns and 7 heads, and on his horns were 10 diadems (crowns), and on his heads were blasphemous names …” (13:1)
• “A second beast” — commonly referred to as The False Prophet — who “exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast …” (13:12)
• And then, remarkably, there is a third major player in this global administration, simply known as “The Image of the Beast” that would “even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” From this image would go forth the command that everyone everywhere “be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead … that no one would be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has that mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.” (13:15-17)

As one reads this chapter in today’s contemporary understanding, it becomes clear that this story is wrapped in the highly advanced technology of the times. In this message of Revelation 13 Revisited, Wally unveils the technological realities of our present world that bring this particular chapter to light and life.
